This whisky is the new softer and rounder version of the classic Akashi Blended Whisky. The Akashi Red Blended Malt is a blended whisky that is aged in a Japanese Shochu barrel (American Oak) for 3 years, matured in ex-bourbon barrels before finishing its aging in ex-sherry barrels for 2 years. It is a fine whisky at a very attractive price.

  • Nose: Hints of white grape, lemon, and yellow apple. Botanical notes of pine, oak, with lavender and floral undertones. 
  • Taste: Sensation of rich malt with vanilla and grapes. Notes of pine, oak, and flowers accompany a slight bitterness from citrus peel and the sweetness of honey. 
  • Finish: Medium to long finish with notes of honey, warm spices, and oak with a touch of vanilla.
