    The waterproofing lasted about 3 months. At first, I was satisfied because I could see the water forming droplets on the seams. This feature lasted for about 3 months. After that, it needed a new application. Will we do this job? Forget about the expenses. Unacceptable product. I do not recommend it

Description & Specifications

The transparent, siloxane-based Durostick D-16 Hydrostop water repellent protects the grout between tiles and natural stone from moisture absorption and stains. It seals hairline cracks and helps preserve the strength and colour of the grout without forming a surface film or sealing the pores. Indoors, it reduces moisture absorption and mould growth, while outdoors it protects against tiles coming loose due to frost.

Its water-repellent effect lasts for 5 years indoors and 2 years outdoors. Coverage is 1 L per 25–50 m² per coat, depending on tile size and grout width. Apply at least 20 days after grouting. For grout with hairline cracks, two additional coats are recommended, applied wet-on-wet.

  • Form: Transparent impregnating liquid
  • Base: Siloxane
  • Application: Grout between tiles, granite, natural or artificial stone, and glass blocks
  • Protection: Against moisture, frost and stains
  • Coverage: 1 L/25–50 m² per coat
  • Duration of water repellency: 5 years indoors and 2 years outdoors
