Jose Estevez’s Real Tesoro white semi-dry wine is fortified and produced in southern Spain, in the region bordered by the cities of Jerez, Sanlucar de Barrameda, and the port of Santa Maria. Its winemaking process limits fruity character and encourages the development of flor, a yeast that forms a film on the surface of the wine.
It is aged for at least two years using the solera method, in which rows of barrels containing wines of different ages successively feed into one another. The wine bottled at the end is drawn from the solera row. The wine is fortified with pure alcohol.
