Following my search for solutions in Shelly products for creating a common platform and going beyond Sonoff-type Chinese automation, I purchased the Shelly Dimmer 2.
I should mention that the dimmer was intended to replace a Schneider dimmer from the Sedna series, which always had trouble dimming the difficult PAR30 E27 Spotlight bulbs that I have installed on a single-phase rail. The old Sedna dimmer couldn't dim the bulbs below 50%... Below 50%, they would start flickering.
I installed the dimmer with a neutral wire, and initially, I was disappointed that it didn't dim the bulbs at all.
As I started looking into why, I came across the "Calibration" feature and to my surprise, I found a plethora of settings to adjust the dimming specifically for the bulbs you have.
There are all sorts of settings, from the type of dimming (leading edge or trailing edge), warm-up function, for specific bulbs, anti-flickering mode, and many more. I performed auto calibration, and the dimmer now dims the bulbs down to 3%!!! which is an incredibly low number.
So, 5 stars from me.
I will change the wiring by purchasing the bypass filter, trying to operate it without a neutral wire to give you a complete picture of what the dimmer can do in all possible installation topologies.
I should mention here that the dimmer can be installed in circuits without a neutral wire with a single modification, changing the switches to push-buttons.
Lastly, it has an even better feature. The dimmer supports recording power consumption and exporting it to CSV files. It's a versatile tool and comes at a very good price for what it offers.

Να πω εδώ πως το dimmer μπορεί να τοποθετηθεί σε κυκλώματα αλέ ρετούρ χωρίς ουδέτερο με μοναδική τροποποίηση, την αλλαγή των διακοπτών σε μπουτόν.
Τέλος έχει και καλύτερο.
Το dimmer υποστηρίζει την καταγραφή της κατανάλωσης και την εξαγωγή της σε CSV αρχεία.

Καλημέρα σας, καλή χρονιά με υγεία και χαρά. Σας έχω ένα ερώτημα. Έχω μια ταινία led η οποία ανάβει με ale retour διακόπτη όπου είναι και dimmer. Τι συσκευή μπορώ να πάρω ώστε να τα ελέγχω από το κινητό η με το googlehome. Ευχαριστώ πολύ.
To Shelly dimmer το χρησιμοποιώ 2 χρόνια και είναι εξαιρετικό. Όμως οι διακόπτες που έχεις δεν θα μπορούν να δουλέψουν.
Δουλεύει με διακόπτη ale retour αλλά όχι ντιμαριζομενο.
Μπορώ να το βάλω σε κανονικό διακόπτη (όχι dimmer) και να ελέγχω την φωτεινότητα μόνο από το app ενώ ο κανονικός διακόπτης απλά να αναβοσβήνει το φως ή απαιτεί και κανονικό διακόπτη dimmer?
Βάζεις ένα απλό μπουτόν των 3 ευρώ, αντί για τον διακόπτη και από πίσω τοποθετείς το dimmer.
Όταν πατάς στιγμιαία το μπουτόν τοπικά, αλλάζεις κατάσταση στο dimmer σε on ή off.
Όταν πατάς παρατεταμένα το μπουτόν ντιμάρει τοπικά από το μπουτόν το dimmer.
Οπότε δεν χρειάζεται και ντίμερ διακόπτης, αφού το dimmer είναι το shelly.
Φυσικά και το χειρίζεσαι και απομακρυσμένα η μέσω φωνητικών βοηθών.
Καλησπέρα, για ledoταινία οροφής με διακόπτη που δεν έχει κάποιο dimmer τώρα κάνει? Δηλαδή τοποθετώ το Shelly Dimmer 2 και ντιμάρει την ledoταινία κατευθείαν ?
