I had the M8000 since 2008. I bought it back then for 60-70 euros without knowing what a gem I was buying. After 10 years of heavy use (initially as a laptop mouse, so it was constantly being plugged and unplugged, and then countless hours of WOW, CSGO, and many others since 2013), the cable at the mouse input started to wear out and eventually left us. :( :( :(
I should note here that I have a fairly large palm and it suited me very, very well.
Having searched the entire internet and not being able to find it anywhere at that time (December 2018), I bought the Logitech Proteus Spectrum. It's good, but it didn't suit me like the M8000. After a year and a half with the Proteus, I will eventually go back to the M8000, even if it's over 80 euros.

    Now, about the mouse:
The extra weight (I had put it all) makes it incredibly precise. It gives you a great feeling and in FPS games, it makes you feel like the target is an extension of your hand. Don't listen to the 16000 DPI, etc. Most of us play at 500-1500 DPI, so the maximum of 6000 is more than enough (at 6000 with a 3-4 centimeter movement on the mouse, the cursor changes sides on a 24-inch monitor).
It is extremely durable (braided cable, golden coated USB) tested in many hours of gaming (8-10 consecutive CSGO matches 2-3 times a week and countless raids in WoW).

It is also very comfortable. For all these years, I have never been bothered by prolonged use. Especially if you have a large palm, I highly recommend it. It will suit you very well.

Finally, the only (maybe) negative is that the mouse buttons are quite clicky and some may find them noisy. Personally, it doesn't bother me since I wear a headset. Also, if you have a mechanical keyboard, you understand that some sounds are inevitable (I don't think anyone can tolerate the click of a mechanical keyboard but is bothered by the click of a mouse).

I highly recommend it, I have already ordered mine.

A negative: The side front button is annoyingly cheap and noisy.
Of course, having bought 5 different Gigabyte mice, I discover that this is a common problem with this brand.
Additionally, the construction material, while helping with better grip, is very difficult to clean as it is very sticky.

Well, I have had this mouse since 2010! It is the ultimate gaming mouse!!
Excellent response, three DPI settings, adjustable weight, and very DURABLE!!!
In my 6 years, the scroll wheel button "broke" after 10,000+ hours of playing Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 & 3 & Titanfall!
Note: it is ideal for people with large palms.
