When I put the hot water in, the whole bottom broke and came off easily! Did I do something wrong? I don't know!

It's okay, spacious filter and easy to clean, about 3 cups capacity and apart from the handle everything else is detachable. The rim does its job, you serve as you should. Light overall, so the glass is thin, so you don't want to subject it to impacts. Overall, for the money, it's very honest.

It's great for making your tea in combination with its price. Also, you can remove the filter with the tea so that the taste is not altered.
