All the ancestors around the world were generous to the modern ones. They bequeathed to us language, writing, magnificent monuments, impressive achievements, and even themselves, their skulls and fossils.
They hosted us in their world, allowed us to look at it with their eyes and our own, and facilitated our embrace of a magnificent subject and spectacle, the past. They traced and continuously extended the line that connects today with yesterday, turning the past into a lasting present and proving that each new thing arises from an existing predecessor.
This line has been disrespected by many. Out of convenience, ignorance, and carelessness, they scorned it, erased it, cut it off. They fabricated events, distorted facts, labeled as coincidental what they could not explain. Thus, the distorted data of the past led things to a different sequence, and the future was built on shaky foundations.
The author of this work aims to restore parts of the linear connection and answers the questions: How does man appear on earth and when does he appear in Greece? Why does he think and speak, while other beings on the planet do not? What is the role of the brain?
Is language and writing imported into Greece or were they created by the inhabitants of the area? Did the specific area get colonized by migrating tribes or was there a native Paleolithic population? Was Homer a creature of imagination, a captivating storyteller, or a significant figure? And if this poet indeed existed, when did he live?
Are myths and traditions simply fascinating narratives, or does their core conceal real and significant events? Did (pre)historic events occur in the chronologies that are taught in educational levels and are supported by a large body of literature, or do they also need to be revised?
