I connected two devices into a mesh network and now I have a stable and consistent wifi connection at home. The wireless connection of the routers in the mesh was a breeze through the mi wifi app. Finally, I got rid of the repeaters. Everything is fine.

It has stable wifi without interruptions. But that's about it. I didn't see any other improvement compared to another cheaper router I have tried, maybe except for the mesh feature. I would recommend everyone to download the Chinese firmware as there is a significant difference in both range and speed.

It is a very good Router in terms of performance and what I have noticed is that it has reduced ping. Additionally, you can manage your network to see which devices are connected to it and increase its security as it supports WPA 3. Finally, it is definitely worth its price, but its major drawback is its range as it has the same or slightly better range than the speedport plus, resulting in not covering my entire 100sqm house, so I need to use an extender for the rest of the house

Τέλος αξίζει 100% την τιμή του όμως το μεγάλο του ελάττωμα είναι η εμβέλεια του καθώς έχει την ίδια ή λίγο καλύτερη εμβέλεια από το speedport plus με αποτέλεσμα να μην καλύπτει ολόκληρο το σπίτι μου το οποίο είναι 100τμ και να χρειάζομαι να χρησιμοποιώ ένα extender για το υπόλοιπο σπίτι
I plugged it into the zyxel vmg8623-t50b from wind. My goal is to buy another one for a mesh network through a powerline adapter. Also, the WiFi 6 played a role in the purchase. It doesn't lose any speed in speedtests, I get the full 100 because everything is wired, and in the future, I will use this for the wired mesh, otherwise there will be a loss of speed. It is a very cost-effective proposal for a mesh network by buying two of these devices. The only thing I didn't like is that in order to work with older devices, WiFi 6 needs to be disabled and it needs to work on WiFi 5. WiFi 5 & 6 don't work simultaneously. (I also bought a second router, connected it exactly as described above, and it works perfectly. I set the WiFi Range to high from the Xiaomi app and that solved the problem of having to change networks every time I was in a different room.) It requires a close-range wireless connection first to find the other one, and then I connected it with a cable where I wanted it.

Σε speedtest δε χάνει καθόλου 100στάρα έχω 100 πιάνω επειδή όλα είναι με καλώδιο και με αυτό θα κάνω στο μέλλον το mesh μέσω καλωδίου αλλιώς θα έχει απώλεια ταχύτητας. Είναι πολύ οικονομική πρόταση για δίκτυο mesh αγοράζοντας δύο τέτοιες συσκευές. Το μόνο που δεν μου άρεσε είναι ότι για να δουλέψει σε παλιότερες συσκευές πρέπει να απενεργοποιηθεί το Wi-Fi 6 και να παίξει σε Wi-Fi 5. Δε δουλεύουν ταυτόχρονα Wi-Fi 5 & 6. (Αγόρασα και 2ο ρούτερ τον σύνδεσα ακριβώς όπως περιγράφω παραπάνω και δουλεύει τέλεια. Έβαλα το Range wifi σε high από την εφαρμογή της xiaomi και έτσι λύθηκε το προβλήμα με το να αλλάζω δίκτυο κάθε φορά που ήμουν σε άλλο δωμάτιο.) Excellent router choice for wifi 6 with mesh capability. Its low price allows for the purchase of 2 or more, creating a unified network without the need to change connected wifi networks (e.g. on mobile when changing floors), but with automatic and seamless handoff.
Specifically, I bought 3 to cover a three-story house. The important selling point compared to other mesh options is that the mesh network can have the following backhaul options (communication between different routers):
- Wifi connection, meaning the routers function as repeaters/extenders, with a decrease in speed depending on the distance.
- Ethernet connection, meaning the routers can communicate with each other through a wired connection.
- Wifi/ethernet combination (for >=3 routers).
This is very convenient, as if there is proper wiring (e.g. built-in ethernet, as is the case in newer houses), then the decrease in connection speed is minimal, even on two floors above.
Additionally, the connectivity between them can be done in a chain or as a star: initial/parent router connected to the modem, and then it is connected to each subsequent router serially or independently, respectively.
I should note that it works seamlessly with wired powerline for installation in areas where an ethernet line does not reach.
The mobile application (android) is well-designed and UI-friendly, with a list of connected devices per network (2.4/5GHz), and allows for full control of the routers even remotely.
I have not encountered any negatives so far. If any arise, I will update.

Συγκεκριμένα, πήρα 3 για να καλύψω τριώροφο σπίτι. Το σημαντικό selling point έναντι άλλων mesh επιλογών είναι ότι το mesh δίκτυο μπορεί να έχει ως backhaul (δηλαδή επικοινωνία των διαφόρων routers):
- σύνδεση wifi, δηλαδή τα routers να λειτουργούν ως repeaters/extenders, με μείωση ταχύτητας αναλογως της απόστασης,
- σύνδεση ethernet, δηλαδή τα routers μπορούν να 'μιλάνε' μεταξύ τους μέσω ενσύρματης σύνδεσης

Αυτό βολεύει πολύ, καθώς αν υπάρχει η κατάλληλη καλωδίωση (π.χ. εντοιχισμένη ethernet, όπως συμβαίνει σε νεότερα σπίτια) τότε η μείωση στην ταχύτητα σύνδεσης είναι μηδαμινή, ακόμα και 2 ορόφους πάνω.
Επίσης, η συνδεσμολογία μεταξύ τους μπορεί να γίνει αλυσιδωτά ή και σαν αστερίσκος (star): αρχικό/μαμά ρούτερ συνδεδεμένο στο modem, και αυτό μετά συνδεδεμένο με κάθε επόμενο router σειριακά ή ανεξάρτητα, αντίστοιχα.
Να σημειώσω ότι δουλεύει απροβλημάτιστα και με ενσύρματο powerline, για εγκατάσταση σε σημεία που δεν φτάνει γραμμή ethernet.
Η εφαρμογή στο κινητό (android) είναι καλοφτιαγμένη και UI friendly, με λίστα συνδεδεμένων συσκευών ανά δίκτυο (2.4/5GHz), και επιτρέπει πλήρη έλεγχο των routers ακόμα και remotely.
Δεν έχω αναγνωρίσει κάτι αρνητικό μέχρι στιγμής. Αν προκύψει, θα επανέλθω.

Αποφάσισα να αλλάξω και θα πάω σε Xiaomi γιατί το μόντεμ ρούτερ της εταιρείας το WiFi έπαψε να λειτουργεί.
The router is excellent. Compared to the modem/routers provided by the providers, it is far better. Please note that it is only a router, which means you need the modem that comes with the connection to connect it to the internet and then pass it on to the router to distribute it to the devices. We had 32 devices (17 of which were smart bulbs) connected to the Vodafone router, with a 50 Mbps line. Everything on the network, computers, mobiles, printers, air conditioners, POS, tablets, was slow! With a Speed Test, I could barely get 4-5 Mbps with a sync of 49 Mbps! Since the Xiaomi AX1800 took over the network (the other router now only acts as a modem), it's like day and night! Everything responds quickly, no more lagging or waiting, I now consistently get 45-47 Mbps.
We simply don't often realize how important it is to have a good router (this one is ALSO cheap!) in the network, especially now that devices with network access are multiplying rapidly! If you experience lagging and delays in your network and have more than 8-10 devices connected simultaneously, consider upgrading your provider's router with something like this. This one is also the most affordable that supports WiFi6 (812.11ax), making it future-proof...
Είχαμε 32 συσκευές (οι 17 ήταν smart λάμπες) πάνω στο απλό ρουτεράκι της Vodafone, με 50άρα γραμμή. Πάνω στο δίκτυο τα πάντα, υπολογιστές, κινητά, εκτυπωτές, κλιματιστικά, POS, tablets και σέρνονταν όλα! Speed Test, με συγχρονισμό 49mbps έβλεπα μετα βίας 4-5mbps! Από την ώρα που μπήκε το Xiaomi AX1800 και ανέλαβε το δίκτυο (το άλλο ρουτεράκι εκτελεί πλέον μόνο χρέη modem), είναι όλα η μέρα με τη νύχτα! Όλα αντιδρούν ταχύτατα, δεν κολλάει και δεν περιμένει κανείς, βλέπω πλέον 45-47mbps κανονικά.
Απλά, δε συνειδητοποιούμε συχνά το πόσο σημαντικό είναι να έχεις καλό ρούτερ (το συγκεκριμένο είναι ΚΑΙ φθηνό!) στο δίκτυο, ειδικά τώρα που οι συσκευές με πρόσβαση στο δίκτυο πληθαίνουν με ταχείς ρυθμούς! Αν έχετε κολήματα και καθυστερήσεις στο δίκτυο σας και έχετε πάνω από 8-10 συσκευές ταυτόχρονα, σκεφτείτε την αναβάθμιση του ρούτερ του παρόχου με κάτι τέτοιο. Το συγκεκριμένο είναι και το οικονομικότερο που υποστηρίζει WiFi6 (812.11ax) κάτι που το καθιστά ανθεκτικό στο χρόνο...

έχω 50άρι ιντερνετ με το modem/router της Vodafone 4ης γενιάς. Θα αναβαθμίσω κάποια στιγμή όμως μέχρι τότε θα ωφελήσει το xiaomi Router? Βασικά πως συνδέεται με το υπάρχον και πως μεταδίδει wifi 6 αφαου το βασικό ειναι 4?
Συγνώμη για την ασχετοσύνη
Το WiFi 6 ειναι backwards compatible που σημαίνει ότι συνεργάζεται με WiFi5/4 routers αλλά δεν σου δίνει την τελευταία έκδοση προς χρήση. Η ιδέα εδώ φαντάζομαι είναι ότι προμηθεύεσαι ένα WiFi 6 router όπως το Xiaomi ώστε όταν ο πάροχος, στην περίπτωση σου Vodafone, διαθέσει WiFi 6 δικό του (5-6 χρόνια απο τώρα), να έχεις την "πλήρη" εμπειρία. Δεν μπορώ να σκεφτώ άλλο λόγο απο τον παραπάνω για να έχει κάποιον WiFi 6 router στην Ελλάδα.
Καλησπέρα. μπορει να αντικαταστησει το ρουτερ του παροχου ως μοντεμ? Αν παρω 2 συσκευές, η μια μπαίνει στην γραμμή και η άλλη συνδέεται με wifi στην πρώτη? συνδεονται μεταξυ τουσ με ethernet η πρεπει και τα 2 να ειναι σε πριζα ethernet;
1) Δεν είμαι σίγουρος αλλά νομίζω πως όχι. Το σταθερό τηλέφωνο που θα το συνδέσεις ?
2) Ανάλογα τι θέλεις να κάνεις, αν στόχος σου είναι να επεκτείνεις το ήδη υπάρχον σήμα mesh συσκευές, ξεκάθαρα. Αν η διαχείριση στο δεύτερο σημείο (π.χ. guest wifi only με bandwidth limit) θες να είναι πλήρως παραμετροποίησιμη για κάποιο λόγο με ότι συνεπάγεται αυτό, τότε νέα συσκευή router.
Αν δεν χρησιμοποιώ το WiFi συνέχεια και θέλω να το απενεργοποιήσω και να το ενεργοποιήσω ξανά, επειδή δεν έχει κουμπί, πως μπορώ να το κάνω ;
Μπορεί το ssid των 5Ghz να είναι το ίδιο με των 2,4Ghz ;

I connected two devices into a mesh network and now I have a stable and consistent wifi connection at home. The wireless connection of the routers in the mesh was a breeze through the mi wifi app. Finally, I got rid of the repeaters. Everything is fine.

It has stable wifi without interruptions. But that's about it. I didn't see any other improvement compared to another cheaper router I have tried, maybe except for the mesh feature. I would recommend everyone to download the Chinese firmware as there is a significant difference in both range and speed.

It is a very good Router in terms of performance and what I have noticed is that it has reduced ping. Additionally, you can manage your network to see which devices are connected to it and increase its security as it supports WPA 3. Finally, it is definitely worth its price, but its major drawback is its range as it has the same or slightly better range than the speedport plus, resulting in not covering my entire 100sqm house, so I need to use an extender for the rest of the house

Τέλος αξίζει 100% την τιμή του όμως το μεγάλο του ελάττωμα είναι η εμβέλεια του καθώς έχει την ίδια ή λίγο καλύτερη εμβέλεια από το speedport plus με αποτέλεσμα να μην καλύπτει ολόκληρο το σπίτι μου το οποίο είναι 100τμ και να χρειάζομαι να χρησιμοποιώ ένα extender για το υπόλοιπο σπίτι
I plugged it into the zyxel vmg8623-t50b from wind. My goal is to buy another one for a mesh network through a powerline adapter. Also, the WiFi 6 played a role in the purchase. It doesn't lose any speed in speedtests, I get the full 100 because everything is wired, and in the future, I will use this for the wired mesh, otherwise there will be a loss of speed. It is a very cost-effective proposal for a mesh network by buying two of these devices. The only thing I didn't like is that in order to work with older devices, WiFi 6 needs to be disabled and it needs to work on WiFi 5. WiFi 5 & 6 don't work simultaneously. (I also bought a second router, connected it exactly as described above, and it works perfectly. I set the WiFi Range to high from the Xiaomi app and that solved the problem of having to change networks every time I was in a different room.) It requires a close-range wireless connection first to find the other one, and then I connected it with a cable where I wanted it.

Σε speedtest δε χάνει καθόλου 100στάρα έχω 100 πιάνω επειδή όλα είναι με καλώδιο και με αυτό θα κάνω στο μέλλον το mesh μέσω καλωδίου αλλιώς θα έχει απώλεια ταχύτητας. Είναι πολύ οικονομική πρόταση για δίκτυο mesh αγοράζοντας δύο τέτοιες συσκευές. Το μόνο που δεν μου άρεσε είναι ότι για να δουλέψει σε παλιότερες συσκευές πρέπει να απενεργοποιηθεί το Wi-Fi 6 και να παίξει σε Wi-Fi 5. Δε δουλεύουν ταυτόχρονα Wi-Fi 5 & 6. (Αγόρασα και 2ο ρούτερ τον σύνδεσα ακριβώς όπως περιγράφω παραπάνω και δουλεύει τέλεια. Excellent router choice for wifi 6 with mesh capability. Its low price allows for the purchase of 2 or more, creating a unified network without the need to change connected wifi networks (e.g. on mobile when changing floors), but with automatic and seamless handoff.
Specifically, I bought 3 to cover a three-story house. The important selling point compared to other mesh options is that the mesh network can have the following backhaul options (communication between different routers):
- Wifi connection, meaning the routers function as repeaters/extenders, with a decrease in speed depending on the distance.
- Ethernet connection, meaning the routers can communicate with each other through a wired connection.
- Wifi/ethernet combination (for >=3 routers).
This is very convenient, as if there is proper wiring (e.g. built-in ethernet, as is the case in newer houses), then the decrease in connection speed is minimal, even on two floors above.
Additionally, the connectivity between them can be done in a chain or as a star: initial/parent router connected to the modem, and then it is connected to each subsequent router serially or independently, respectively.
I should note that it works seamlessly with wired powerline for installation in areas where an ethernet line does not reach.
The mobile application (android) is well-designed and UI-friendly, with a list of connected devices per network (2.4/5GHz), and allows for full control of the routers even remotely.
I have not encountered any negatives so far. If any arise, I will update.

Συγκεκριμένα, πήρα 3 για να καλύψω τριώροφο σπίτι. Το σημαντικό selling point έναντι άλλων mesh επιλογών είναι ότι το mesh δίκτυο μπορεί να έχει ως backhaul (δηλαδή επικοινωνία των διαφόρων routers):
- σύνδεση wifi, δηλαδή τα routers να λειτουργούν ως repeaters/extenders, με μείωση ταχύτητας αναλογως της απόστασης,
- σύνδεση ethernet, δηλαδή τα routers μπορούν να 'μιλάνε' μεταξύ τους μέσω ενσύρματης σύνδεσης
- συνδυασμό wifi/ethernet (για >=3 routers).
Αυτό βολεύει πολύ, καθώς αν υπάρχει η κατάλληλη καλωδίωση (π.χ. εντοιχισμένη ethernet, όπως συμβαίνει σε νεότερα σπίτια) τότε η μείωση στην ταχύτητα σύνδεσης είναι μηδαμινή, ακόμα και 2 ορόφους πάνω.
Επίσης, η συνδεσμολογία μεταξύ τους μπορεί να γίνει αλυσιδωτά ή και σαν αστερίσκος (star): αρχικό/μαμά ρούτερ συνδεδεμένο στο modem, και αυτό μετά συνδεδεμένο με κάθε επόμενο router σειριακά ή ανεξάρτητα, αντίστοιχα.
Να σημειώσω ότι δουλεύει απροβλημάτιστα και με ενσύρματο powerline, για εγκατάσταση σε σημεία που δεν φτάνει γραμμή ethernet.
Η εφαρμογή στο κινητό (android) είναι καλοφτιαγμένη και UI friendly, με λίστα συνδεδεμένων συσκευών ανά δίκτυο (2.4/5GHz), και επιτρέπει πλήρη έλεγχο των routers ακόμα και remotely.
Δεν έχω αναγνωρίσει κάτι αρνητικό μέχρι στιγμής. Αν προκύψει, θα επανέλθω.

Το λογισμικό που έχει είτε μέσω του browser ή μέσω εφαρμογής για android συσκευές είναι εξαιρετικά εύχρηστη.
Αποφάσισα να αλλάξω και θα πάω σε Xiaomi γιατί το μόντεμ ρούτερ της εταιρείας το WiFi έπαψε να λειτουργεί.
The router is excellent. Compared to the modem/routers provided by the providers, it is far better. Please note that it is only a router, which means you need the modem that comes with the connection to connect it to the internet and then pass it on to the router to distribute it to the devices. We had 32 devices (17 of which were smart bulbs) connected to the Vodafone router, with a 50 Mbps line. Everything on the network, computers, mobiles, printers, air conditioners, POS, tablets, was slow! With a Speed Test, I could barely get 4-5 Mbps with a sync of 49 Mbps! Since the Xiaomi AX1800 took over the network (the other router now only acts as a modem), it's like day and night! Everything responds quickly, no more lagging or waiting, I now consistently get 45-47 Mbps.
We simply don't often realize how important it is to have a good router (this one is ALSO cheap!) in the network, especially now that devices with network access are multiplying rapidly! If you experience lagging and delays in your network and have more than 8-10 devices connected simultaneously, consider upgrading your provider's router with something like this. This one is also the most affordable that supports WiFi6 (812.11ax), making it future-proof...
Είχαμε 32 συσκευές (οι 17 ήταν smart λάμπες) πάνω στο απλό ρουτεράκι της Vodafone, με 50άρα γραμμή. Πάνω στο δίκτυο τα πάντα, υπολογιστές, κινητά, εκτυπωτές, κλιματιστικά, POS, tablets και σέρνονταν όλα! Speed Test, με συγχρονισμό 49mbps έβλεπα μετα βίας 4-5mbps! Από την ώρα που μπήκε το Xiaomi AX1800 και ανέλαβε το δίκτυο (το άλλο ρουτεράκι εκτελεί πλέον μόνο χρέη modem), είναι όλα η μέρα με τη νύχτα! Όλα αντιδρούν ταχύτατα, δεν κολλάει και δεν περιμένει κανείς, βλέπω πλέον 45-47mbps κανονικά.
Απλά, δε συνειδητοποιούμε συχνά το πόσο σημαντικό είναι να έχεις καλό ρούτερ (το συγκεκριμένο είναι ΚΑΙ φθηνό!) στο δίκτυο, ειδικά τώρα που οι συσκευές με πρόσβαση στο δίκτυο πληθαίνουν με ταχείς ρυθμούς! Αν έχετε κολήματα και καθυστερήσεις στο δίκτυο σας και έχετε πάνω από 8-10 συσκευές ταυτόχρονα, σκεφτείτε την αναβάθμιση του ρούτερ του παρόχου με κάτι τέτοιο. Το συγκεκριμένο είναι και το οικονομικότερο που υποστηρίζει WiFi6 (812.11ax) κάτι που το καθιστά ανθεκτικό στο χρόνο...
