For someone who wants to start learning the violin, it is just what you need. Its sound is quite loud (perfect for annoying nosy neighbors), even causing pain to those who may have sensitive ears like myself, so earplugs are definitely necessary. The bow and rosin that come with it are quite cheap, as are the strings it had—replace them all. Nevertheless, I have come to love this particular one with its negatives and positives. For its price, it's just fine, nothing more or less.
