The Naniwa A-206 sharpening stone cleans the surface of Japanese sharpening stones, removing metal residue that accumulates during sharpening. It has a coarse texture and is used wet, with water.
Made from white aluminum oxide, it works similarly to a Nagura stone without removing unnecessary material from the sharpening stone. To use it, soak it for a few minutes, then rub it over the wet surface of the stone until it is clean. Rinse both stones after use.
