    The product description states that it is made of marble material (edit: they have now corrected the title and mention it as MARBLE TYPE), but in reality it is hard plastic weighing 268g for the mortar and 139g for the pestle.
    It just uses this speckled technique to look like marble.
    Also, with the round smooth pestle, as soon as you start crushing something, the oils/juices make the plastic slippery and it becomes difficult to crush the material.

    Avoid it if you want real marble/stone/granite.
