I chose them after a lot of searching and reading tests from specialized magazines and organizations. They replaced the "factory" continentals, with which I did 55,000 kilometers without any problems, and they are noticeably cheaper, especially with the promotional offer from Goodyear, which provided a €50 gift card for size 225/55R18.
After the first 1000 kilometers, I can say that:
1. They are very "quiet" (compared to the previous ones)
2. They are more economical (even with a small difference)
In addition to the above, I have the feeling that they grip a little better in dry conditions - I haven't had the chance to travel in wet conditions yet. I don't notice any significant difference in the steering (it's not lighter or heavier than before). However, it is a bit faster in changing direction.
In conclusion, I am satisfied with my choice. I will come back when I have more kilometers and experience.
I am coming back after another 1000 kilometers and a trip on wet roads. The grip is very satisfactory. It fills you with confidence and trust. The steering remains just as responsive as in dry conditions.
If this behavior continues, then we can talk about a very good tire.
