ATXC71C / ARXC71C Inverter Air Conditioner 24000 BTU A/A
Installed around this time last year, it replaced a decade-old Mitsubishi on-off 21500 BTU.
Last year, the Mitsubishi with 15 hours a day burned 2950 KWH along with other consumptions (only cooling for the 4-month summer).
Good machine, the Mitsubishi, but very high consumption all these years.
This year, the Daikin with heatwaves 24 hours a day burned 2250 KWH along with other consumptions (only cooling for the 4-month summer).
The KWH are accurate.
I should also note that the consumption of each four-month period of the house is around 1600-1700 KWH without air conditioning operation.
We are talking about a 47 m2 space, open-plan living room-kitchen-hallway, the cooling also reached the opposite rooms when the doors were open. (middle floor of a three-story building-double glazing)
The computer set at 26 C., we used it on the medium fan speed, I can say it was quiet, it relatively quickly lowered the temperature.
We didn't use it in winter so I have no opinion.
I think I mentioned the most useful feature, which is the consumption in the existing space.
I give it 4 stars because it has a low SEER.

To avoid rewriting everything, the text below is from my review of the Haier air conditioner, which was later joined in the same space by the Daikin Sensira 12 ATXC35C. And later, again in the same space, the Daikin Perfera 9 FTXM25R.

8/7/2020: In the one month that I have had it, I have found that it is extremely efficient in cooling (I will return in winter) and completely silent (18db in quiet mode), essentially the same noise level as the Tundra Green I have... Add the 5-year warranty without maintenance obligation and other terms under the name inventor to guarantee it, and you are good to go! Update: from the 3rd year, maintenance is now required. In cooling, it drops to a minimum consumption of 280 watts. Super civilized operation inside and outside.

9/11/2020: So, first cold, November 9, 2020, with an outside temperature of 11 degrees, it drops to 340 watts. Operating cost is 6 cents per hour with the price of kWh on 9/11/2020 being 0.15737 (including taxes, etc.). Very satisfied with the heating as well.

7/2022 and it remains quite decent. I should also add that it is essentially the same as the newer model called Tide Green Plus as well as with the Pearl, except of course for some additional technical features, such as WiFi for the Plus and UV sterilizer for the Pearl. You should know that it has a rare feature for a bedroom, its slats can turn completely vertical to hit the floor below. So it doesn't matter even if it's right next to the bed...

New Update... I dared and placed in August 2022, in my living room, in the same space as the aforementioned Haier, a Daikin Siesta Sensira 12, the cheapest model at that time, for 550 euros, now 580 euros. The results in all areas were shockingly in favor of the Daikin, even though their specifications are roughly the same (despite the fact that the Daikin is 12 and the Haier is 9). I will highlight, for example, the reduction in consumption by 40% in cooling, after repeated measurements that I couldn't believe, and finally, after winter, which confirmed even greater differences, I exclaimed hallelujah! Otherwise, I have experienced that at least Daikin and Toshiba (as I bought one of the series, the cheapest 9 for the northern bedroom) have a good grasp of programming in air conditioners, making everything smooth, stable, and economical with extremely refined and cultured behavior and operation. I have now eliminated the pellet stove and run them 24/7 because it is more economical and with the least money we have ever spent (apart from the coolness) and abundant warmth. Finally, I added in the same space just in case the Sensira 12 is not enough, and out of curiosity, a Daikin Perfera 9. Again, a 40% difference from the Sensira 12, which surprised me because it is indeed one category above the Sensira, but so much??? Yet, if we assume that the Haier "burns" 100 kWh per month, the Sensira burns 60 kWh, and the Perfera 36 kWh!!! It's a shame that due to the "recycle" programs, merchants are running rampant and have reached the Perfera 9 today, July 2024, at just over 1000 euros and the Sensira about 100 euros cheaper.
Honestly, buying one of these two Daikin or Toshiba will be a gift to your home that will last long-term (Toshiba: 7-year warranty with the only condition being annual maintenance, and if you prefer their network, it's around 20-30 euros at most) (Daikin 3 years + 2 free for purchase from their network, extension to 10 years for about 100 euros with the only condition being annual maintenance, and just like Toshiba, if you prefer their network, it's around 20-30 euros at most). I have switched completely to these two companies now... with today's electricity prices, we can't afford to make silly purchases that once might not have bothered us, but now? Imagine the Haier lost refrigerant and I don't even feel like refilling it... maybe only if I dismantle it and put it in a space that doesn't need much and I have an old on-off unit. CONCLUSION: when you see a bad review on Daikin/Toshiba and it hasn't been chosen with lower power than the needs of your space, it's 99.9% the installer’s fault (usually due to not using a vacuum pump and kinks in the pipes), so don't stress but pursue the installer, and if they claim nonsense, contact the dealership.

Simple the best.
And what I haven't heard from the salespeople, that it is the cheap series of Daikin, that there are better companies that make you coffee when you come home, that Daikin is no longer what it used to be, etc., etc.
In my opinion, which I insisted on buying Daikin, I believe that the 18,000 BTU machine I have is worth every euro.
The outdoor unit is as if it doesn't exist in terms of noise. The indoor unit sounds like a 9. It works continuously in eco mode and the heat it produces is at radiator level. I have never needed to put it in a stronger mode. The air does not dry out the throat and the power consumption, especially in eco mode, is at the level that a 9 would have.
The top-level plastic is noiseless no matter how many hours it works.
It is the 2nd Daikin I put in the house out of the 4 air conditioners I have and I really think that I should have bought all four Daikin.
The remote control is not something space-age, it has the necessary functions but that's what I wanted. Just to turn it on, to heat, to make no noise and to not cause any problems. Also, to pay low maintenance costs for spare parts and not to have to change strange filters and mechanisms. And of course, I didn't want to experiment, I wanted to be sure.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase. Of course, for anyone who has more money to spend, the company has space-age machines to buy.
The issue is the quality and the safety of the purchase that you will feel from the first days of living with the air conditioner.
I give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the enemy of the good is the best...

We are dealing with a very simple air conditioner. It doesn't have a lit control, it doesn't have any information indicators on the air conditioner, it's designed simply without much fuss. I use it for heating and it is truly excellent in terms of performance since the heat it produces feels like that of a radiator and not an air conditioner. It is extremely quiet inside and outside except for some moments when it starts to blow air, you hear a sound like water running in a pipe for 3-4 seconds and then it stops. If it weren't for that sound, I would really say it is off. Also, the creaking is an unknown word. I have the fan on auto and the temperature set to 21 and you really feel wonderful. If I were to judge it strictly, I would give it 4 stars overall since, for example, it doesn't even have an ionizer (of course, that's a joke), but I will give it 5 because in terms of performance it compensates you. I hope for reliability while I don't expect surprises in cooling.

There are no words....the best air conditioner in performance among those I have tried or can think of. Radiator-like warmth at fan level 1 and noise is non-existent.

With this heatwave, it doesn't feel like anything! Silent, efficient....it fulfills the reason for which it was made. Excellent....

Everything is perfect...

Today's installation of 12,000 BTU. Silent inside and outside. Quality construction. No vibrations. Within 15 minutes at the lowest fan level and at 25 degrees, it cooled a 65 sqm space, not a unified one. It does not have a light on the remote control or temperature indicators on the indoor unit, but who cares about those in front of performance and quality. I give it 4 stars because it has not been tested for heating yet. I will come back. It took me 1 month of thorough research to come to a conclusion, and I am happy with my choice!
23/12/2022 I will come back as I said for the evaluation on heating. I have used it for heating 3 times. It has its own "operating theory" in general, both in cooling and heating. It creates a microclimate, it does not give the feeling of very hot air even at 30°, but it still heats a non-unified 65 sqm space with the external thermometer at 5° Celsius. I will come back even in temperatures of 0 or -0 if they occur.
23/02/2023 I couldn't help but mention that it made us look good even in Barbara with the snow at -2! So the 4 stars will become 5 stars.

I have had it for 2 weeks so my opinion is not complete and only concerns the cooling.
Positives:
1. No plastic creaking.
2. It is quiet, both the indoor and outdoor unit.
3. It covers a 45sqm area and is sufficient at the minimum setting. However, it has not been tested with extreme heat, although I don't think there will be a problem even with the poor insulation I have.

Negatives:
1. The remote control only does the basics. It only adjusts the air intensity, modes for cooling-heating, etc., and temperature. NOTHING ELSE. It does the same as the Daikin I had 25 years ago.
2. Air adjustment can only be done manually, either to the right or left.
3. Adjusting the wing tilt is done by eye, as there is no indication of its position. You have to go underneath and see where you want it to stop, which is not convenient at all.
4. It does not have an indication of the internal temperature, only the temperature you want it to reach.
5. It never stops working, it constantly blows air.
6. I set it to 28, while my electronic thermometer showed 25 and it was still giving cold air. I don't know what's wrong with it.
7. The external unit made a noise, small but audible. The Daikin service told me they would change the fan and motor.
8. Overall, it is expensive compared to what it offers.

Also, be careful. Stores offer a 2-year warranty, but Daikin extends it to 5 years. A MANDATORY CONDITION is to have it installed by a certified Daikin service and to have it serviced by Daikin every year, which costs 30 euros + VAT.
However, this applies to all brands, as I was told the same thing by Tesla, which offers a 10-year warranty.

Would I buy it again? No, that is my answer. In my country house, I am sure I will install a cheaper brand, not because it is a country house, but because I believe it is overpriced.

Update 9/11/2023: It broke in one year, despite minimal use. The heating doesn't work. One of the worst purchases I've made.

I fell for the name Daikin... I'm writing about the 9000btu model. It's possible that the quality of the components is excellent. However, from a practical standpoint, it is highly problematic for a bedroom. Let's start with the positives: It is quiet, both the indoor and outdoor unit.

Now onto the negatives:
- You have to choose between heating and cooling. There is no middle setting. The first night, I set it to 28 degrees with low fan speed and the window slightly open as it should be, and I woke up literally sick with a frozen nose that led to rhinitis. Note that I placed it in a spot where it doesn't directly hit me. I set it to 29 degrees, the room temperature drops to 24, and it continues to cool.
- The moving blade of the swing function is almost useless. It has a very small range of motion, and no matter how you adjust it, you can't avoid the strong downward airflow.
- The remote control has terrible responsiveness and a huge latency. It takes a while to respond, and you never know if it has received the setting or not, since there is no digital display.

I repeat, maybe the quality of the materials is great, and it will last for 10 years. The question is whether I will enjoy cooling until then...

Now that it's winter: It is almost useless for heating. Slightly better than a floor-standing heater.
