Alcohol lotion with 70 degrees (70%) Protect in a 400ml package.
Antiseptics are substances that destroy various microorganisms and are used to reduce or completely remove germs found on the skin and wounds. The most commonly used skin antiseptic is alcohol (ethyl alcohol or ethanol). It is used for skin application during venipunctures, as well as for removing germs from the hands.
It destroys bacteria, the tubercle bacillus and fungi. It is also effective against certain viruses (e.g., influenza viruses, herpes simplex virus, HIV). It has limited action against non-enveloped viruses (e.g., hepatitis A and B viruses, enteroviruses, rotavirus, adenovirus, norovirus, rhinoviruses) and protozoa.
When the alcohol lotion is left to act for 1 minute, it has been proven to be the most effective way of hand antisepsis. However, 15 seconds are enough to destroy many germs on the skin and hands. For alcohol to be effective, mechanical removal of germs and organic substances (e.g., fats, blood) from the skin by washing with soap and plenty of water must precede.
Because the use of ethanol causes skin dryness, solutions in concentrations of 60-95% combined with emollients, such as glycerin, are available on the market. The most commonly used is the 70-degree solution or lotion.
For external use only. Not suitable for use in the preparation of beverages or food.
