Power supply and engine
Self-propelled lawn mower by Gardenman. With self-propulsion, all you need to do is press a lever located on the handlebar to transfer the movement generated by the engine to the wheels, allowing the machine to move on its own. It has a four-stroke gasoline engine, with a displacement of 146cc and 3.5hp which rotates the cutting blades.
What is a four-stroke engine and what are its advantages/disadvantages in a lawn mower?
It is an internal combustion engine that operates with a circulation of oil and air in four operating cycles.
Advantages:
• Lawn mowers with four-stroke engines do not require additional oil.
• They consume fuel only once every four strokes, making them a more economical choice.
• They are built to withstand more wear and tear.
• They produce less noise and vibrations during operation.
• They are less polluting because they do not require mixing oils or lubricants with the fuel.
Disadvantages:
• Because lawn mowers with four-stroke engines have more components and valves, their repairs and maintenance are more expensive.
• Since they derive their power only as the piston rotates every four strokes, this design is less powerful than a machine with a similar two-stroke engine.
Cutting Width
The size of the area determines the choice of the machine's cutting width, as the wider the blade, the more grass it cuts with each pass. The maximum cutting surface of the blades is 42cm.
Collection Bag Capacity
With the collection bag, you can easily empty and dispose of the cut grass. This particular bag has a capacity of 40 liters.
Indicatively, for a 50 sq.m. garden, a 30-50 liter bag would be sufficient, while for a 100 sq.m. - 200 sq.m. garden, you would need a 50-70 liter bag. For larger areas, ideally choose a 70-120 liter collection bag.
Generally, the capacity of a lawn mower's bag depends on many factors, such as the frequency of mowing, the type of grass you will be cutting, and the soil conditions. However, if the area you want to cut has many obstacles such as trees, flowers, or other objects, you may need to empty the bag more often. In this case, a larger bag would be more practical.
Adjustable Cutting System
Thanks to the adjustable cutting system it has, it can leave uncut grass from 25 to 75mm, so you can cut it to the height you desire.
Why Choose a Lawn Mower with a Larger Displacement?
A lawn mower with a larger displacement can cut grass more efficiently and achieve better cutting results on larger surfaces.
Additionally, it can cut grass at a higher speed and allow for faster completion of your work while being able to cut grass more easily in difficult areas, such as slopes or wetter grounds.
Lawn Mower Instructions
To use a lawn mower safely and effectively, we advise you to follow the instructions below:
• Carefully read the manufacturer's user manual and follow all instructions for starting, using, and maintaining the machine.
• Before you start using it, check all functions and safety systems, such as brakes and engine operation, or if the battery is fully charged (if it is a battery-powered lawn mower).
• Before use, make sure the lawn is dry.
• Wear appropriate clothing and protective equipment.
• Before starting the machine, ensure there are no children, pets, or other objects in its path.
General Tips and Maintenance Instructions
• Maintaining a lawn mower is important for preserving its performance and lifespan. The following instructions provide general advice. However, it is important to always follow the instructions provided by the manufacturer in the user manual of the machine you purchased.
• Change the oil according to the manufacturer's instructions. Usually, this should be done every 25 hours of operation.
• Check all connections and screws and ensure everything is properly tightened.
• Check the operation of the engine and the starting system. If there are problems, contact a specialized technician.
• Clean or replace the air filter according to the manufacturer's instructions. This should be done regularly, as clean air is important for the good operation of the machine's engine.
• Clean the machine and observe for any wear on the blades.
• Ensure the cutting settings are correct and adjust them if necessary.
