The Gikas Vineyards dry red wine, made from Merlot and Vradiano, has a deep ruby color with purple highlights. The nose reveals aromas of red and black fruits, sweet spices, cedar, tobacco, and red pepper, with earthy notes. Its vinification includes extended maceration and malolactic fermentation.
On the palate, it has a balanced, medium to full body, good acidity, and rounded, juicy medium tannins. The finish is long, with a gentle oak sensation. Serve at 16–18 °C. It pairs well with red meats, game with rich red sauces, pasta with spicy red sauces, pizza, legumes, smoked dishes, spicy cheeses, and cured meats.
