Purchase October 2021 from a well-known chain of computer stores, I take it out of the box and notice that it has few customization options for placement on my desk. Fortunately, with 2 books that I will never read, it comes to the desired height. I connect it to my PC with HDMI, turn it on, and notice the very good performance in black colors, which I admit I did not expect for this type of monitor. Within the first hour of use, I calibrate it, and the colors, which were somewhat dull, became truly vibrant and beautiful!
I noticed a stuck pixel in the bottom right, which was always red, but to tell you the truth, I didn't bother because it was only one and it wasn't in a noticeable spot. So far, satisfied with the overall image quality and features, and I should note that I don't only use it for gaming but for everything like Office, Photoshop, internet, Netflix, Premiere.
It delivers excellent image quality and has very good color accuracy. Where it stands out is in video games, where the image will impress you. Where it falls short is when you want to watch movies, as the image is not as smooth due to noticeable ghosting (although you will get used to it over time). Don't even bother with HDR, you will wonder why there is so much blur in movies - turn off HDR and you'll be fine.
Suddenly, at the end of May 2022, I noticed backlight bleeding from the top of the screen as the panel started to detach from the chassis. On the first day, it was 3-4 points, and the next day it was 25 centimeters... I contacted the company, which referred me to their service center in Agios Dimitrios, where I took it. The people there were polite and replaced the entire panel with a brand new one (with factory seal) at no cost. I noticed that the glue on the new panel had a small "gap" in the same spot where it had detached before, and when I mentioned it during pickup, they said that's how the replacement part came from the factory, and they hadn't glued anything.
I bring it home, and that stuck red pixel, if you remember, in the bottom right, is no longer there, but there was a slight discoloration in another spot, indicating that there was some dust or an insect between the panel and the backlight. But to be honest, I treated it like the red pixel because it wasn't something easily noticeable, so I said, okay, let's move on.
Oh, no :)
The new panel, at the end of June, less than a month later, starts detaching from the top of the chassis again, leaving a 20-point gap within 3 days, allowing plenty of light to leak through and space for dust, ants, or other passing objects to enter. It is now apparent that this is not a random incident in my case, but rather a result of improper use or faulty adhesive material from Samsung itself, as it seems from the forums that this problem occurs regularly.
Without wasting time, I pack up my monitor, take it to the same service center where my face was polite but clearly annoyed, and pick it up in 4 business days with a new panel, this time with adhesive that has no "gap"...
I asked the service center people if this is a common problem, and they said they have had similar cases, but they were surprised that it happened to me for the second time. I return home with the familiar anxiety about burnt pixels, dust on the back of the panel, etc., and to my joy, I found that there is neither dust nor burnt pixels, and the adhesive seems good (although it looked good when I bought it).
Conclusion, Samsung has obviously lowered its quality control in this particular model and the materials it uses have flaws. Normally, for about 300 euros, having the screen serviced twice within six months is prohibitive. I do recognize their fast service, although it is fast for me who lives in Attica, I don't know what delay there would be for customers in more remote areas.
Is it worth buying? If you intend to use it for general purposes with a focus on gaming and internet, in a dark or not so intense light, then yes, there's no discussion that the image and response will satisfy you, as well as the clarity of the text during reading and the smooth movement of the entire image. If you watch more movies, then look for something else because it has some ghosting in fast scenes. As for the build quality, what can I say? Can anyone guarantee that other brands are flawless? No. I never expected such a problem to occur twice, and especially from Samsung; no, but...
So, if we exclude the risk of material flaws, the features it has in this price range are hard to come by, and I would say it is also Samsung quality, but here it doesn't come out for me :) so let's say "it is also Samsung service."
Αγορά Οκτώβριο 2021 από γνωστή αλυσίδα καταστημάτων υπολογιστών, τη βγάζω από το κουτί παρατηρώ ότι έχει λίγες δυνατότητες παραμετροποίησης για τοποθέτηση στο γραφείο μου, ευτυχώς με 2 βιβλία που δε θα διαβάσω ποτέ έρχεται στο επιθυμητό ύψος. Τη συνδέω στο PC με HDMI ανάβω και παρατηρώ την πολύ καλή απόδοση στα μαύρα χρώματα που ομολογώ δεν την περίμενα για τέτοιου είδους οθόνη. Εντός της πρώτης ώρας χρήσης κάνω καλιμπράρισμα όπου τα χρώματα από κάπως άτονα, έγιναν πραγματικά ζωντανά και όμορφα!
Εντόπισα ένα πίξελ κάτω δεξιά το οποίο ήταν μονίμως κόκκινο, αλλά να σας πω την αλήθεια δεν ασχολήθηκα γιατί ήταν μόνο ένα και δεν ήταν σε σημείο που προσέχει κανείς εύκολα. Μέχρι εδώ ευχαριστημένος απο την εικόνα και τα χαρακτηριστικά της γενικότερα και εδώ να σημειώσω ότι δεν την χρησιμοποιώ μόνο για gaming αλλά για τα πάντα όλα όπως Office, photoshop, internet, netflix, Premiere.
Σε όλα αποδίδει εξαιρετική εικόνα και έχει πολύ καλή πιστότητα χρωμάτων. Εκεί που ξεχωρίζει είναι τα βιντεοπαιχνίδια όπου η εικόνα θα σας ευχαριστήσει, εκεί που το χάνει κάπως είναι όταν θέλετε να δείτε ταινίες, η εικόνα δεν είναι και τόσο απαλή καθώς έχει αρκετό ghosting (βέβαια με τον καιρό θα το συνηθίσετε). HDR μην το βάλετε καν, θα απορήσετε γιατί φαίνεται τόσο λάσπη στις ταινίες -κλείστε το HDR και θα είστε κομπλέ.
Ξαφνικά τέλη Μαΐου 2022 παρατηρώ διαρροή φωτός από το πάνω μέρος της οθόνης καθώς άρχισε να ξεκολλάει το πάνελ από το σασί. Την πρώτη μέρα 3-4 πόντους τις επόμενες 25 εκατοστά... Επικοινωνώ με την εταιρεία η οποία με παραπέμπει σε δικό της σέρβις στον Άγιο Δημήτριο όπου και την πήγα. Οι άνθρωποι ευγενικοί σε 4 εργάσιμες μου αντικατέστησαν ολόκληρο το πάνελ με ολοκαίνουριο (με σελοφάν από το εργοστάσιο) χωρίς κόστος. Παρατήρησα ότι η κόλλα στο νέο πάνελ στο σημείο που είχε ξεκολλήσει πριν είχε και πάλι ένα μικρό "τζόγο" και όταν το ανέφερα την ώρα της παραλαβής μου είπαν ότι έτσι τους ήρθε το ανταλλακτικό από το εργοστάσιο, αυτοί δεν είχαν κολλήσει κάτι.
Πηγαίνω σπίτι τη βάζω και εκείνο το κολλημένο κόκκινο πίξελ αν θυμάστε κάτω δεξιά δεν υπάρχει πλέον, αλλά υπήρχε σε άλλο σημείο μια μικρή διάθλαση, δείγμα ότι υπήρχε κάποιος κόκκος σκόνης ανάμεσα στο πάνελ και το backlight, αλλά να πω την αλήθεια το αντιμετώπισα σαν το κόκκινο πίξελ διότι δεν ήταν κάτι που προσέχει κανείς εύκολα και λέω οκ προχωράμε.

Το νέο πάνελ τέλη Ιουνίου, σε λιγότερο από μήνα, αρχίζει και πάλι να παίρνει διαζύγιο από το πάνω μέρος του σασί της οθόνης αφήνοντας εντός 3 ημερών 20 πόντους κενό, άφθονο φως να διαρρέει και χώρο να μπει σκόνη, μυρμήγκι ή άλλο διερχόμενο είδος. Πλέον διαφαίνεται ότι δεν πρόκειται για τυχαίο συμβάν στην περίπτωσή μου, αλλά για χρήση λάθος ή ελαττωματικού υλικού συγκόλλησης από την ίδια τη Samsung καθώς φαίνεται από τα φόρουμ ότι παρουσιάζεται τακτικά αυτό το πρόβλημα.
Χωρίς να χάσω χρόνο, πακετάρω την οθόνη μου, την πάω στο ίδιο σέρβις όπου η φάτσα μου ήταν ευγενική μεν σαφώς ξενερωμένη δε, και την παραλαμβάνω σε 4 εργάσιμες με καινούριο πάνελ, αυτή τη φορά με συγκόλληση που δεν έχει "τζόγο"...
Ρώτησα τους ανθρώπους του σέρβις αν είναι συχνό πρόβλημα μου είπαν ότι έχουν αντίστοιχα περιστατικά αλλά τους έκανε εντύπωση ότι το έπαθα 2η φορά. Επιστρέφω σπίτι με το γνωστό άγχος για καμμένα πίξελ, σκουπιδάκια στο πίσω μέρος του πάνελ κλπ και με χαρά διαπίστωσα ότι ούτε σκουπιδάκι υπάρχει ούτε καμένο πίξελ και η συγκόλληση φαίνεται καλή -βέβαια και όταν την αγόρασα καλή φαινόταν).
Συμπέρασμα, η Samsung στο συγκεκριμένο μοντέλο προφανώς έχει κατεβάσει quality control και τα υλικά που χρησιμοποιεί παρουσιάζουν αστοχίες. Κανονικά για περίπου 300 ευρώ οθόνη 2 φορές σέρβις εντός εξαμήνου είναι απαγορευτικό. Τους αναγνωρίζω βέβαια το γρήγορο σέρβις αν και είναι γρήγορο για εμένα που μένω Αττική, για πελάτες σε πιο απομακρυσμένα σημεία δεν ξέρω τι καθυστέρηση θα υπήρχε.
Αν αξίζει η αγορά του; Αν την προορίζετε για γενική χρήση με εστίαση gaming και ιντερνετ, σε χώρο σκοτεινό η όχι τόσο έντονο φως ναι δεν το συζητώ η εικόνα και η απόκριση θα σας ευχαριστήσει απόλυτα όπως και η καθαρότητα του κειμένου κατά την ανάγνωση και η απαλή κίνηση της όλης εικόνας. Άν βλέπετε πιο πολύ ταινίες τότε κοιτάξτε κάτι άλλο γιατί έχει κάμποσο ghosting στις γρήγορες σκηνές. Σχετικά με το build quality τώρα τι να σας πω; μπορεί να εγγυηθεί κάποιος ότι οι άλλες μάρκες είναι αψεγάδιαστες; όχι. Περίμενα ποτέ τέτοιο πρόβλημα να συμβεί δις, και μάλιστα απο Samsung; όχι αλλά...
Αν λοιπόν εξαιρέσουμε το ρίσκο αστοχίας υλικού, τα χαρακτηριστικά της όλα πακέτο που έχει σε αυτή την τιμή δύσκολα τα συναντάς, και θα έλεγα και είναι και ποιότητα Samsung αλλά εδώ δε μου βγαίνει :) οποτε ας πούμε "και είναι και service Samsung"
