Description & Specifications

Isomat BEVETOL-SPL is a liquid admixture for concrete and mortars that acts as a superplasticizer and setting retarder. It reduces the mixing water and water/cement ratio while increasing workability without adding extra water to the ready-mixed concrete. It is used in high-strength, exposed or pumpable concrete, as well as in cement screeds for underfloor heating.

Improved compaction facilitates pumping and reduces setting shrinkage, while helping make the concrete watertight. The admixture does not entrain air, contains no chlorides or other corrosive ingredients, and is compatible with all Portland cements. Add it to the mixing water or to the ready mix shortly before use; in the latter case, mix for 4–5 minutes while rotating the mixer.

  • Action: Superplasticizer and setting retarder
  • Reduction in mixing water: Up to approximately 15%
  • Slump increase: From 1–4 cm to 18–22 cm without adding extra water
  • Dosage as a Type G superplasticizer: 0.6–0.8 kg per 100 kg of cement
  • Dosage as a Type D water reducer: 0.5 kg per 100 kg of cement
  • Dosage as a Type A water reducer: 0.3–0.4 kg per 100 kg of cement
  • Colour: Dark brown
  • Density: 1.15–1.21 kg/l
  • pH: Approximately 7.5
  • Maximum chloride content: ≤ 0.1% by weight
  • Maximum alkali content: ≤ 4.0% by weight
