It was purchased for my mother (to replace the old one) because it has simple operation with separate rotary controls for water temperature and spin speed, as well as an easy way to set the program. It also has additional separate buttons for other settings (delay start, extra rinse, etc). Most new washing machines have a single dial that makes the operation more complicated and less direct. I think the many direct buttons are advantageous in terms of operation. Personally, I find it easy to operate with indicator lights (rather than a screen) that inform you about its status (e.g. which stage of the wash it is in). Simple and understandable in my opinion, even if it is a bit old-fashioned in terms of operation.
Programs: It has several "quick" programs (the first ones in the series) ranging from 59 minutes, most of them for up to 7 kg. There are even faster ones, such as a 45-minute program for 3.5 kg of clothes and a 20-minute program for fewer clothes, around 1.5 kg. Its regular programs are time-consuming, with indicative times of 3 hours and 40 minutes for cotton, 2 hours and 55 minutes for synthetics, and 2 hours and 11 minutes for whites. The manual states that long washing times with low water temperatures are the best combination for energy efficiency. Personally, only the quick programs suit me, and there are plenty of them. In one program, when you set it, there are limitations. For example, if you choose the quick cotton program (program 2), the temperature is limited to a maximum of 60 degrees, even if you set it to 80 on the rotary switch (it cuts off) and the spin speed is limited to 1000. This means that it makes sense to set lower values than the allowed maximums (e.g. 40 degrees and 800 rpm in the cotton program). If you want higher temperatures, you have to choose a program that allows them. It is all explained well in the manual, with a nice and understandable table.
Reliability: We cannot know yet about its reliability because we haven't been using it for a long time, and by the time it gets old, the model will have changed. What we are saying here are first impressions. It is the same brand as our old Indesit and it looks similar in appearance and controls (although the old one had a mechanical program wheel), which lasted for 21 years. And it still works with only a slight problem in the bearing that started making noise and the drum turning a little more difficult. A common problem with washing machines. In 21 years, the belt came off three times (and you had to unscrew it from the back and put it back on. We replaced it once because it chewed it up the second time it came off). Overall, it was okay in terms of reliability. We hope this one is also sturdy enough.
Other features: The door opening is approximately 28 cm in diameter, so it is large enough to fit something bulky, but the drum capacity is "typical" for the category. Its weight is approximately 65 kg.
And one piece of information, if anyone is interested, which is not easily found (we saw it on the packaging label after the purchase) is that it is also manufactured in Turkey (at least the one we bought. I don't know about all of them).
Αγοράστηκε για την μητέρα μου (σε αντικατάσταση του παλιού) γιατί έχει απλό χειρισμό με ξεχωριστά περιστροφικά χειριστήρια για θερμοκρασία νερού και στροφές ξεβγάλματος αλλά και απλό τρόπο να ορίσεις πρόγραμμα. Εχει και επιπλέον ξεχωριστά πάλι ειδικά πλήκτρα για υπόλοιπες ρυθμίσεις (χρονοκαθυστέρηση έναρξης πλύσης, έξτρα ξέβγαλμα κτλ). Τα περισσότερα νεα πλυντήρια έχουν ενα περιστροφικό πλήκτρο που κανει τον χειρισμό πιο περίπλοκο και λιγότερο άμεσο. Νομίζω τα πολλά άμεσα κουμπιά πλεονεκτούν στο θέμα χειρισμού. Προσωπικά το θεωρώ εύκολο στον χειρισμό με λαμπάκια (και όχι οθόνη) να σε πληροφορεί για την κατάστασή του (πχ σε ποιο στάδιο είναι η πλύση). Απλό και κατανοητό κατά τη γνώμη μου και ας είναι λίγο παλιομοδίτικο στο θέμα χειρισμού.
Προγράμματα: Εχει αρκετά "γρήγορα" προγράμματα (τα πρώτα στη σειρά) από 59' τα περισσότερα για μέχρι 7 κιλά. Υπάρχουν και λιγο ακόμα γρηγορότερα πχ ένα 45' για 3,5 κιλά ρούχα και ενα 20' για λιγότερα κιλά 1,5 ρούχα. Τα κανονικά προγράμματά του είναι χρονοβόρα από ενδεικτικά 3:40 ώρες το πλήρες για βαμβακερά, 2:55 για συνθετικά, 2:11 ώρες για λευκά. Το εγχειρίδιο αναφέρει πως μεγάλοι χρόνοι πλυσίματος με μικρές θερμοκρασίες νερού είναι ο καλύτερος συνδυασμός οικονομίας. Εμένα με βολεύουν μονο τα γρήγορα προγράμματα και έχει αρκετά. Σε ένα πρόγραμμα όταν το ορίζεις εισέρχονται περιορισμοί. Πχ αν βάλεις το γρήγορο βαμβακερά (πρόγραμμα 2) η θερμοκρασία ορίζεται μέχρι μαξ 60 ακόμα και αν του πεις 80 στον περιστροφικό διακόπτη (βάζει κόφτη) και οι στροφές στο στύψιμο μέχρι 1000. Που θα πει έχει νόημα να βάλεις μικρότερες τιμές από τις επιτρεπόμενες μέγιστες (πχ 40 βαθμοί και 800 στροφές/λεπτό στο πρόγραμμα των βαμβακερών). Αν θέλεις μεγαλύτερες θερμοκρασίες πρέπει να επιλέξεις πρόγραμμα που τις επιτρέπει. Τα λέει όλα καλά στο εγχειρίδιο σε ωραίο κατανοητό πινακάκι.
Αξιοπιστία: Δεν μπορούμε να ξέρουμε ακόμα για την αξιοπιστία γιατί δεν το δουλεύουμε πολύ καιρό και μέχρι να πολυκαιρίσει θα έχουν αλλάξει το μοντέλο. Αυτά που λέμε εδώ είναι πρώτες εντυπώσεις. Ειναι ίδια μαρκα με το παλιό μας Indesit και του μοιάζει εμφανισιακά και στα χειριστήρια (αν και το παλιό ήταν μηχανική η ροδέλα προγράμματος) που πήγε 21 χρόνια. Και ακόμα δουλεύει βασικά με πρόβλημα στο ρουλεμάν λιγο που άρχισε να ακούγεται και ο κάδος να γυρνάει λίγο πιο δύσκολα. Συνήθης βλάβη πλυντηρίων. Στα 21 χρόνια έβγαλε 3 φορές τον ιμάντα (και έπρεπε να το ξεβιδώσεις πίσω να τον ξαναπεράσεις. Εναν τον αλλάξαμε γιατί τον μάσησε την 2η φορά που τον έβγαλε). Γενικά ήταν οκ από θέμα αξιοπιστία. Ελπίζουμε και αυτό να είναι αρκετά γερό.
Λοιπά χαρακτηριστικά: Το άνοιγμα πόρτας είναι όπως το μέτρησα περίπου Φ=28cm, δλδ αρκετά μεγάλο να μπει κατι πιο ογκώδες αλλά ο όγκος του κάδου είναι "τυπικός" για την κατηγορία. Το βάρος του είναι περίπου 65 κιλά περίπου.
Και μια πληροφορία, αν κάποιον τον ενδιαφέρει, που δεν βρίσκεις εύκολα (το είδαμε στην ετικέτα της συσκευασίας μετά την αγορά) είναι ότι και αυτό κατασκευάζεται στην Τουρκία (το συγκεκριμένο που πήραμε τουλάχιστον. Δεν ξέρω για όλα).
