Description

Thigh High Compression Sock with Closed Toes Class II

The thigh-high compression sock activates and enhances blood circulation, preventing thrombosis and embolic events. It reduces the feeling of heaviness in the legs.

Composition:

  • 36.2% Lycra
  • 12.5% Roica
  • 51.3% Nylon

Indications:

  • Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) for the treatment of edema symptoms, to prevent or manage manifestations of Post-Thrombotic Syndrome (PTS).
  • Preoperative and postoperative care to maintain therapeutic success.
  • For patients requiring mandatory bed rest for extended periods.
  • Complicated varicose veins during pregnancy.

Phlebitis:

Phlebitis is caused by twisted and enlarged veins close to the surface of the skin, primarily in the legs and ankles. When the valves in the veins do not function properly, blood pools, creating pressure in the veins.

Symptoms:

  • Sensation of “burning” in the legs with pain and fatigue, more intense after prolonged standing.
  • Swelling in the legs and ankles.
  • Itching over the vein.
  • Swelling of the feet.
  • Swelling and pain in the lower legs (ankles) whether sitting or standing for long periods.
  • Open sores or bleeding after a minor injury.

The predisposition to valvular insufficiency is often hereditary and may affect women more significantly. Risk factors include heavy manual labor, sedentary work, uncomfortable shoes, and poor nutrition leading to overweight.
