This lens mount adapter from Viltrox allows the attachment of a Nikon F-Mount, G-Type lens to a Sony E-mount camera. While doing so, the adapter's optical elements help maximize the apparent angle of view of the attached lens, while providing up to a two-stop increase for the camera in relation to the lens's aperture range.

If a lens intended for larger camera sensors is attached to a Sony E-mount camera, it will project an image larger than what the camera's sensor is designed to accept. With the ability to capture only the central portion of the projected image, the lens's actual angle of view will be restricted, creating a "crop factor" on the camera. This adapter condenses the light from an attached lens and projects it onto the Sony E-mount camera sensor. This allows the camera sensor to use more of the light collected by an attached lens, effectively reducing the crop factor, while making up to two additional stops of light available to the sensor for each of the lens's f/stop settings.
