An economical and affordable disc burner and reader... At least that was my first impression of the product. It was purchased to burn CD-Rs with songs so I could listen to my own music in my car, which doesn't have USB or 3.5mm... This drive is useless. I have tried burning Phillips (i.e., quality) CD-Rs with all possible methods (windows, imgburn, ashampoo burning studio... and other programs, at various speeds until I could find a way to burn the CD) but the result is always the same, the CDs never burn correctly and the process is never completed, resulting in this product ending up being just a Read-only Optical Drive, at least in my hands and in my case... As for the hardware part, the tray (slot) needs fiddling to close because some metal notch at the bottom is very loose, which means that every time I open it to put in a CD, it takes me more than half a minute to manage to close it again... I don't know if I got a defective piece but I couldn't do my job.. If I were you, I'd look elsewhere unless you don't care about ever writing CDs or DVDs and your only purpose is to play them...

Όσον αφορά το κομμάτι του υλικού, το ποτάκι (θύρα) για να κλείσει θέλει πείραγμα επειδή κάποια μεταλλική εγκοπή στο κάτω μέρος είναι πολύ χαλαρή, που σημαίνει ότι κάθε φορά που το ανοίγω για να βάλω μέσα κάποιο CD, θα χρειαστώ πάνω από μισό λεπτό για να το καταφέρω να το ξανακλείσω... Πάντα αποτυγχάνει η εγγραφή κάποιες φορές στο 99% το έχω δοκιμάσει σε 3 διαφορετικά laptop και με διαφορετικά δισκάκια, RW και με διαφορετικά software εγγραφής. Τι μπορεί να φταίει? επίσης δεν μπορώ να βρω πουθενά firmware για να κάνω update. Υπάρχει κάπου?
