I bought 3 pieces with the aim of keeping the glasses stable on my head during activities, as the company promises, and not to hang them on my chest. While the quality of the neoprene is unquestionable, the product design suffers seriously in practice.
The thickness of the neoprene is excessive (as is also shown by the caliper measurement). This makes the strap excessively rigid, causing it to behave like a hard elastic band. Due to this rigidity and its length (about 41-42 cm), the strap cannot take the natural slope behind the ear. Instead, it runs in a completely straight line right over the ear cartilage, pressing it down and causing intense discomfort after just a few minutes. It is also uncomfortable if you tuck the cartilage through the strap.
The only position in which it does not bother you (pulled all the way back to the ends of the arms) creates a huge gap at the back. It protrudes far from the head, completely canceling the safety purpose for which it was purchased. In order to be able to use them, I will be forced to cut them and modify them myself.
Too bad, because Musto is a top company, but here it completely sacrificed ergonomics and the anatomy of the head
