It comes with four (4) securing straps and an adjustable system for supporting the patient's legs for vertical lifting. It has a soft, non-absorbent foam mattress.

This device, along with the lifting straps, is used to lift the patient from the ship to the helicopter, where the patient is collected. The floats allow the stretcher to float on the water's surface, which cannot be done with the weight of the patient.
