Basically, it is the 7906 with a silver frame instead of charcoal. Very good construction, elegant, and the picture is amazing, after the necessary adjustments, because "out of the box" the picture is blurry and somewhat blue. The first and main move is to disable the light sensor! Then, a little fine-tuning is needed mainly in colors and somewhat in brightness, depending on each person's preferences. The panel is very good and experienced users have endless possibilities for color adjustment and even white balance.

The sound is good, always maintaining proportions. Ambilight enhances the experience, as always. It made two upgrades from 1.35GB each as soon as it connected, instantly and without any problem with the wifi.

The translations in some parts of the menu are funny, like "φωτογραφία" instead of "εικόνα"... Overall, a very good device, with the well-known weaknesses of Philips, such as the sorting of terrestrial channels, and the strengths, such as the picture - at least in its high-end series.

edit: 2 months later: the sound is probably better than expected...
in some cases, when using a subscription TV app, it starts to freeze and respond in slow motion, until it requires a restart. It needs to be unplugged and booted from the beginning to recover. It may be the app's fault, I don't know...
edit2: after the recent third update (1.35GB), it seems that the problem with occasional freezes in the TV app has been resolved
