Bayer Velum Prime is a professional nematicide in powder form, containing the active substance fluopyram. It acts against nematodes and has fungicidal activity on tomatoes, eggplants, cucumbers, courgettes, pumpkins, potatoes, melons and watermelons. Against nematodes, it acts on adults and delays egg development, limiting hatching.

Fluopyram inhibits mitochondrial respiration. In fungi, it inhibits spore germination and growth, as well as mycelial growth. It also has penetrating, translaminar and acropetal movement through the xylem vessels. Its activity against fungi lasts 30 to 60 days.
