After 2 years of use, disappointed by the lifespan – but also impressed by the picture

I have the LG C2 55" and after 2 years and 2 months of use, a permanently stuck green pixel appeared in the bottom right corner of the screen. (I am attaching 3 photos and the video) The problem is clearly visible on a black background (next to subtitles, for example, in movies) and it bothers me quite a bit in daily use. In brighter scenes, such as in football matches, it is almost not noticeable.

From LG, I was informed that the factory warranty only lasts for 2 years, so it is no longer covered, which disappointed me quite a bit — considering we are talking about a TV over €1,000 that develops such a problem out of the blue.

I have tried all the known "tricks" from YouTube (flashing color videos, pixel refresh, etc.) and every 1 to 2 months I ran LG's automatic cleaning processes (pixel cleaning). The pixel remains there, and sometimes it appears more prominently, while other times not so much.

I have not yet sought official repair, so I cannot comment on cost or service yet. If I do, I will follow up.

It is worth mentioning that a friend of mine bought the LG C1 65" a year before me and he experienced the same problem (permanent pixel) in another corner of the screen, top left, just in the first 3 months. Fortunately, it was under warranty and they replaced it. Needless to say, that technician had told us back then that "if the TV is going to have such an issue, it will happen in the first 1-2 years, then it 'settles'," but obviously, this is not always the case.

Other than that, the TV is fantastic. The picture is incredible, the 120Hz with the PS5 works perfectly — you watch the picture and get so lost in it that you forget to play. Very good sound, fast navigation on YouTube, Netflix, Spotify, etc. It is a real experience.

However, I am disappointed by the fact that 2/2 times for me and my friend, a pixel issue occurred in premium LG TVs, and not after 5 or 10 years, but in the first 2-3 months or shortly after the warranty expired.

The final impression is mixed. On one hand, the picture quality and features are top-notch. On the other hand, you don't feel secure that your investment will "last" without surprises. And this for a product worth over €1,000 is a big issue.

I would not choose LG again due to reliability; it carries the risk despite the perfect picture.

I placed it on a wall mount because its own stand, although very nice, was too low and didn't suit me. So far, the TV is AMAZING in every aspect, even the channels look different. I use the DLNA streaming through a NAS located in another room and it plays flawlessly through the Gigabit Devolo Magic 2 powerlines I have. If you connect a wireless keyboard like the Logitech K400plus (definitely with a USB extension), browsing through menus and the internet becomes even easier. It is the same model as the OLED55C14LB.

Owner of the Lg model 2016 770UH (49’ / 4K IPS panel) decided to change it due to a panel damage that doesn't affect it much.
I will talk about the 55oled that I have for over a month now. Its sound is so good that it makes the soundbar optional (fortunately) because due to the TV's base, the distance from the base to the screen is very small, so it cuts off the height of the image.
The detail and image are incredible and compared to the previous 4K I had, there is a difference but it won't be noticeable on conventional channels. You will see the difference in platform movies or 4K movies where oled technology makes the difference. The menu is one of the best and simplest compared to Sony, of which I am an owner, and Samsung, which I have seen because I was torn between Samsung and LG. It requires great attention in placement, definitely two people. Watch a video before opening it. I would also recommend getting an extended warranty (I got one from Lg). Finally, you will have a big issue if you need to move, so it's good to keep the box.
