Now I am comfortable and calm knowing that nothing will happen.     After 7 years of daily use, I recently replaced the battery! Works like a charm! Beautiful, works non-stop, has plenty of functions and programs. The battery life on my Mac is about 30-35 minutes depending on the task. It frequently performs checks (about every other day) and makes a buzzing noise that is slightly annoying. When the power is cut off, the noise is moderate, but if you don't have the alarm on mute, it will drive you crazy! Wonderful UPS from a huge company, get it with your eyes closed.
