I generally prefer nuts without slots because they often don't guide the strings the way you want in terms of spacing, etc. And in this case, I didn't particularly like this one. The high E was almost at the very edge while the other was quite far from the edge. Other than that, the spacing was okay, so I eventually adjusted it to where I wanted, but honestly, it would have been better to cut the slots myself in the end.
