The size of the mortar is very practical, it's pleasing to the eye and the pestle is as heavy as it should be.
At first, I crushed a little basmati rice to remove any dust from the inner walls of the mortar. I threw away the dust once it turned gray.
When the rice flour remains a white powder, with no other color, it means the inside of the utensil is clean and ready for food preparation. I rinse with running water.
Keep in mind that strong smells from certain vegetables, herbs, and spices remain, so consider having a different mortar for those.
I always clean by scrubbing with a brush and water, without soap, because the smell will remain. Only if necessary, I use a small drop of neutral-scented liquid soap, diluted in water, give it a quick round, and rinse quickly.
I removed one star because, although the bottom is stable, on the outer sides of the mortar there are 1-2 imperfections that were filled with some dark material and smoothed out, but over time the material melted (!) and the defects/surface cracks in the granite remained.

Όταν το ρυζάλευρο παραμένει λευκή σκόνη, χωρίς άλλο χρώμα, σημαίνει ότι έχει καθαρίσει το εσωτερικό του σκεύους και είναι έτοιμο για προετοιμασία φαγητού. Ξεβγάζω με τρεχούμενο νερό.
Έχετε υπόψη ότι μένουν μυρωδιές από συγκεκριμένα έντονα λαχανικά, μυρωδικά και μπαχαρικά, οπότε σκεφτείτε να έχετε διαφορετικό γουδί για αυτά.
Καθαρίζω πάντα τρίβοντας με βούρτσα και νερό, χωρίς σαπούνι, γιατί θα μείνει μυρωδιά. Μόνο αν χρειαστεί, βάζω μια μικρή σταγόνα υγρό σαπούνι ουδέτερου αρώματος, διαλυμένη σε νερό, φέρνω ένα γύρο και ξεβγάζω γρήγορα.
Έβγαλα ένα αστέρι γιατί, ενώ ο πάτος είναι σταθερός, στα εξωτερικά πλαϊνά του γουδιού υπάρχουν 1-2 κακοτεχνίες που γεμίστηκαν με κάποιο σκούρο υλικό και λειάνθηκαν, αλλά με τον καιρό έλιωσε (!) το υλικό και έμειναν τα ελαττώματα/επιφανειακές σχισμές στον γρανίτη.
Sturdy, convenient size, the only drawback is a slight deformity in the base that prevents it from being perfectly flat, but with a towel underneath, any issue is resolved.
