Η πάστα χρωστικής Wilton Icing Colors χρωματίζει βουτυρόκρεμα, μάρτσιπαν, ζαχαρόπαστα, πάστα τσίχλας, γλάσο και ζύμες. Είναι κατάλληλη για τρόφιμα με βάση το νερό, αλλά όχι για χρωματισμό σοκολάτας. Οι χρωστικές μπορούν να αναμειχθούν μεταξύ τους για τη δημιουργία άλλων αποχρώσεων.

Για τη χρήση της, αφαιρείται μικρή ποσότητα από το βάζο με καθαρό ξυλάκι και προστίθεται σταδιακά στο μείγμα. Το καλό ζύμωμα δίνει ομοιόμορφο χρώμα, ενώ το λιγότερο ζύμωμα δημιουργεί μαρμάρινο αποτέλεσμα. Η μέγιστη χρησιμοποιήσιμη δόση είναι 1,64 g ανά 100 g.
