Description

Description

IN THE ESTATES OF THE YELLOW ROSES fragments of memory assemble and compose the interpretation of a visible personal world and another more complex one that is lost in the waters of the past.

From India, Egypt, to the Laptev Sea and from the Baltic to the Gulf of Oman and Palestine - these are the reference points in the poetic chapters of an existential quest, with its main constituent being time.

The book is illustrated with 6 drawings by the Academic Manolis Korre, president of the Committee for the Preservation of Acropolis Monuments.

THE LAPTEV SEA: Navigable between August and September, Northern land in the Arctic Circle. The frozen Gods are reflected in the white. The ship of the sea passes through the dense fog, calculates the sinkage, estimates the time it must wait for 672,000 square kilometers of memory.

It emerges as if it had always been there on the ice, in a stopped time with its sailors anonymous in this white sea of depth. The snowstorm is approaching, the lantern of nature goes out. We are alone 672,000 square kilometers of silence.
