Capacitive sensors are used in machine systems and equipment to monitor motion without contact.
They consist of two coaxial electrodes, a capacitor, and an RC generator. These sensors respond to both metal and non-metallic objects, as the transmission distance for non-metallic objects depends on their dielectric constants. They allow for adjustable distance settings for non-magnetic conductive materials.
They are developed based on PNP and NPN transitions. They have small dimensions and feature a metal cylindrical shell that is vibration-resistant and a plastic cover that is resistant to oil and water.
