Corto Maltese visited Switzerland several times. One of those years was '24, when he reunited with Professor Steiner from Prague, who intended to go to Sion, a small town in the canton of Valais.
To accompany him, Corto traveled from Lausanne, passing through Lugano before arriving in Sion. During their journey, they visited the home of the writer Hermann Hesse in Montagnola, in the canton of Ticino.
