The pandemic aspect of the Covid-19 disease has been decisive in transitioning individuals and countries into a new, fully digitized era, establishing a state-of-the-art foundation for social and economic relations, the way work is provided, education, and primarily the way people communicate.
When the event scheduled for May 8, 2020, to mark the one-year anniversary of the interdisciplinary journal "Real Estate Review" was canceled due to the coronavirus, we were not discouraged; on the contrary, this time we focused the scientific event on the very impact of the pandemic on legal relationships.
Thus, the first online conference of the "Real Estate Review" was held on February 19, 2021, with the theme: "Leases; Especially under the Perspective of the Health Crisis," and the present volume is a product of this event.
Distinguished speakers (in the order of presentation), namely the magistrate of Heraklion Crete and PhD in Law Ms. Maria Pertselaki, the assistant professor of Civil Law at A.U.Th. Mr. Eυριπίδης Rizos, the lawyer from Volos and PhD in Law Mr. Nikolaos Triantafyllou, the magistrate of Thessaloniki Ms. Aikaterini Karaïndrou, lawyer Mr. Ioannis Katrás, and lawyer, Vice President of the D.S.Th. and PhD in Law Mr. Stylianos Mavridis, primarily focus on the impact of the disease in the field of tort law and then especially on leases, exploring various aspects of the issues in substantive, procedural, and fiscal law.
