  •  5-HTP, the intermediate metabolite between the amino acid L-tryptophan and serotonin, is extracted from the seed of an African plant (Griffonia simplicifolia).

Recommended Dosage

  • 1 capsule daily, preferably on an empty stomach at bedtime.

Warnings - Precautions:

  • Attention: For adults only. 
  • Not recommended for pregnant / breastfeeding women.

    It only helped me to get out of bed more easily in the morning, which is an issue I have due to depression. Other than that, I can't say I saw a difference in my mood and it also caused difficulty falling asleep, which I didn't have before.
    I don't know if I will take it again or if I will go to another company.

    I had been buying Solgar's 5HTP for years, but I see that the price has gone up a lot, so I decided to look for another brand.. I got these which are quite cheaper and have +30 capsules inside, (referring to the 120, as I see now only the 60 are available), and they are just fine, I didn't notice any difference.. What I wrote about the others still holds true.. (if you want you can read my review there)
    UPDATE: I noticed that the smell of my urine and sweat became more intense, so I will change the brand again..
