Stratego: Next Edition by Ubisoft is a strategy game played on a 10X10 board with two players, each of whom has 40 tiles of various ranks - General, Major, Captain, Scout, etc. The tiles are red and blue on both sides, but the ranks are only displayed on one side, positioned in such a way that players cannot recognize the specific pieces of the opponent.

Players are encouraged to arrange their tiles in any layout within a designated section of the board. This preparation is what gives the game its name - your strategy is determined even before the game starts and can influence the outcome.

Each player can move one tile at a time. If a tile is moved to a square occupied by an opponent's tile, their ranks are revealed, and the tile with the lower rank is removed from the board. If the tiles are the same, both are removed from the game.

There are two immovable tiles - the Bomb and the Flag. If you land on it, the Bomb will remove your tile regardless of its rank. If you reach the Flag, you have won the game.

Alternatively, you can win the game by capturing so many of your opponent's tiles that they cannot move.
