Description

Domaines Bournet-Lapostolle (DBL) is a major producer of wines and spirits in Chile. It was founded in 1994 in the Apalta Valley by the French Alexandra Marnier-Lapostolle and her husband Cyril de Bournet.

Pisco is popular in Chile and has been produced by distilling grapes since the late 16th century. Its production follows strict rules: after stemming, the grapes are pressed and fermented for about fifteen days. The distillation is done slowly, in small quantities, in special stills made of copper or tin.

The spirit rests for at least three months in tanks before bottling. Pisco Lapostolle comes from Muscat of Alexandria and Pink Muscat grapes and is distilled twice.
