BenRiach The Twenty One is a Single Malt whisky aged in Bourbon, Sherry, Virgin Oak and Bordeaux red wine casks. The Bourbon casks contribute notes of vanilla, while the Sherry casks bring dried fruit notes, and the virgin oak adds structure. It has a bright copper colour and is bottled without chill filtration.
The nose reveals berries, apple, ripe pear, honey, maple syrup and subtle notes of smoke. The palate is full-bodied and velvety, with candied grapes, cocoa, cinnamon, toasted pine nuts and sweet oak. The long, warming finish features notes of caramelised fruit and gentle spices.
