Usage and maintenance instructions for wooden platters

  • Use soap and warm water for rinsing and cleaning. Avoid using a dishwasher.
  • To avoid odors, sprinkle salt on the platter and rub it with lemon.
  • For wood maintenance, apply warm clear wood oil suitable for food contact at least once a month to close the wood pores and protect its appearance. Distribute the oil over the surface of the platter and let it absorb for 4-6 hours. Wipe off the excess oil with a clean and soft cloth.
  • To maintain its smooth surface after extensive use, you can sand it with 60-120 grit sandpaper and repeat the wood oil process to close the pores again and protect the wood.
