This book is a manual not only for the theology student but also for the hermeneutics of the sacred texts for every scholar of the Holy Scriptures.
It is written by an Orthodox theologian who has taken into account the contemporary problems of writing such a manual.
In addition to a brief history of the interpretation of the Scriptures in Orthodox theological thought and life, a short history of the interpretation of the Scriptures from antiquity to the present is also provided.
In the third part, specific interpretive problems faced by today's reader when studying the Bible are examined.
