Excellent choice. It is essentially a "hard" tarp, which folds and can fit into the back of a backpack (ideally 50+ liters).

It can be used as a survival blanket, as a mat, as a base for the mat inside a tent, or even set up as a tent itself.

By using 2 of these and spreading them between trees, we fit 10 people underneath and slept in winter during moderate rain without any problem.

It is a very useful tool for those who go to the mountains or for bushcraft use.
