    I tried these pencils for my 9-year-old son. While they write fine and sharpen well, they have the following negative aspect: their core is not made of wood, but of some other material (possibly compressed sawdust?) that breaks very easily. I have bought pencils from the same company before and they were excellent. However, these particular ones did not leave me satisfied at all.
