The S5 external disengagement device, also known as Blidoor, is primarily intended for use in installations of automatic security shutters that have weight counterbalance springs. It is used when we want to disengage the central motor of the shutter from the outside so that it can be operated manually in case of a power outage. These motors have an electro-brake with a cable. Additionally, the S5 includes a 2-position internal button panel for electric control of the shutter.

The device is compact, heavy-duty, gray in color, has a security lock with a European cylinder, and features an elegant design.

The motor is disengaged via the electro-brake cable. The cable is pulled using a special handle located inside the device.

The device is suitable for external installation as its body is made of cast iron and has an opening door with concealed hinges that locks with a key. As mentioned above, inside the device, there is a mechanism for tightening the cable that disengages the motor brake, allowing the shutter to be raised and lowered manually, as well as a 2-position button panel (up - down).

During installation, it is essential to ensure that the cable is not visible and cannot be accessed from the outside of the shutter except through the disengagement device, for safety reasons. If the cable is exposed on the outside, the shutter can be relatively easily disengaged by anyone. It is also very important that the cable does not make sharp turns and meets the back of the disengagement device vertically so that the wire moves freely without catching. Finally, the device must be very securely fastened to the wall or any other support point on a flat surface we choose.
