Description

Description

The ongoing (recent) production of legislative and bibliographic work regarding regulations of inheritance law makes it advisable to update this work anew.

Specifically, Law 4182/10.9.2013 "Code of Charitable Properties, Unclaimed Inheritances, and Other Provisions" with articles 82 VIII a and 82 VII e, respectively, not only abolishes and replaces the outdated A.N. 2039/1939 but seeks to intervene in substantive law, particularly in inheritance law, with a focus on protecting the public interest, by abolishing provisions of the Civil Code (articles 1865, 1866 para. 2, 1869) and including new regulations concerning unclaimed inheritances.

At the same time, the aforementioned law directly intervenes in the law of wills, bringing about a substantial change. With Law 4223/31.12.2013 "Unified Property Tax" (article 32 II), article 3 II of Law 4182/2013 was also rephrased, which includes supplementary provisions arising from articles of the Civil Code and the Introductory Law of the Civil Code (article 118 para. a) and pertains to the inability of the State to renounce the inheritance that has devolved upon it by intestacy and the legal acceptance of it with the benefit of inventory.

This edition also includes a detailed index of articles of the Civil Code and an index of entries.
