PLA filament Black 2.85 mm 5000 g for 3D printers is of exceptional quality, produced in the Netherlands. PLA is ideal for beginners in 3D printing, as well as for experienced users, since it is easy to use and offers impressive results. PLA (polylactic acid) is one of the oldest and most used materials in the 3D printing community, mainly due to its advantages as a versatile and environmentally friendly thermoplastic. It is organic and biodegradable and can be easily combined with other substances to influence its final properties, such as flexibility and metallic appearance.

The color of Real PLA is a transparent off-white with a printing temperature ranging between 195 - 205 degrees (depending on the head characteristics). Dark colors of Real may require a few extra degrees of temperature due to the coloring process. The filament should extrude smoothly and appear slightly shiny. PLA is denser and more durable than ABS, but it is more brittle and prone to cracking under high loads. It is also less resistant to external factors (UV light and water) than other common thermoplastics.

PLA can print well on a non-heated surface using Blue Painters or Kapton tape, as well as most 3D printing adhesive labels. For convenience, the use of sprays like 3DLAC on a glass surface is recommended. A low surface temperature between 50 - 60 degrees further reduces the likelihood of warping and makes it easier to remove the final print once the surface has cooled.
