Segotep is a completely unknown brand to us here in Greece, with a name that at first does not sound trustworthy. Of course, that could not be further from the truth, since it is one of the top power supply manufacturers in Asia, something that becomes evident in this particular power supply. At its price, it is one of the best options available, with quality construction and, at the same time, very satisfactory measurements.

Positives:
► 1000W at a relatively low price, definitely better than worthy competitors
► Quality construction and materials for the most part
► Stable voltage rails even at maximum load, along with low ripple
► Low temperatures and a very efficient cooling system, with the fan being silent
► Modular design with plenty of connections and cables
► Also available in white, if it matches your build

Average:
► 5-year warranty

Negatives:
► Lack of MOV, which offers extra protection against surges
► Unknown/bad capacitor brands on the secondary side, though all are rated at 105C and are their good series.

Practically, it could be an excellent power supply for this wattage and price, but I cannot describe it as such because of the capacitors it uses on the secondary side. This is the only serious "misstep" of the power supply, which however will not cause any problem during extended operation. Therefore, it loses one star, but remains a very good choice for someone looking for a power supply at this price and wattage!
