The TEC-BOM acts strongly on contact, effectively controlling the floury. By using it, the chitin or protective layer covering the exoskeleton of insects is broken down, altering the cell membranes, resulting in the insect's death from asphyxiation and dehydration.

In addition, the application of TEC-BOM relieves the leaf surface from honeydew produced by insects, reducing the spread of fungi (sooty mold).

Furthermore, it improves the management of the resistance of the insect enemy, leaves no residues in the crop, and has zero pre-harvest interval (PHI). Finally, due to its extremely low surface tension, it acts synergistically, increasing the effectiveness of other active substances
