An Endless Division… Between two factions identified by the opposing side as "traitorous"... Which, however, constituted expressions of different versions of Greek "revisionist/liberationist" grand ideologies and nationalism, at least until the tragic 1922...

A Division with a personalized background (the conflict of the “two Bs”), but also social, ideological, and economic goals and mindsets... A prolonged quasi-civil war, which left behind unimaginable and indelible hatreds... And which led to judicial killings of "traitors," that is, political opponents.

Completing my research for this book – the most laborious and, in my eyes, the most significant of those I have written – I was left with the question noted in his "war" Memoirs by Winston Churchill: “With all that was done to them… And all that [they themselves] did to themselves… How did the Greeks survive?”.
