Description

The IB-1807MT-C31 is an external enclosure for M.2 NVMe SSDs. Your memory will find a secure place in the sturdy, high-quality aluminum enclosure - without the use of tools. The aluminum also ensures optimal cooling of the memory. USB 3.2 (Gen 2) ensures fast data transfer up to 10 Gbit/s. The corresponding USB Type-C® cable with Type-A adapter is included. The high-quality aluminum enclosure accommodates SSDs in all common M.2 form factors: from 2230 to 2242 and 2260 to 2280.

Data loss is absolutely annoying, but it can be prevented with the IB-1807MT-C31 from ICY BOX. Our enclosure for M.2 SSDs features write protection that can easily be turned on and off with a switch. This way, your data is always safe.

As with other users (as I read in the reviews above), after about 3 months of normal operation, it stopped recognizing the disk, displaying a message for "disk preparation" in disk management, which unfortunately could never be completed.
It was tested on another USB port of the computer, with different cables (obviously!), with removal and reinstallation of the disk in the case, and still nothing.
Tested with a Samsung 980 PRO 256 Gb.

The case is supposed to be usb3 or usb c for speeds (supposedly) up to 10gbps/sec. Well, even if it reached 1000mbps I would be satisfied. The same samsung ssd that I put inside, on the m2 nvme reaches 3700/2800 mbps read/write and in the case 320/280 read/write. I wouldn't call it a serious performance.
Too bad, I had high expectations. I think I will order from a foreign website some other cases that will probably be faster...
After a few weeks I add the following:
The case was connected to a server with 24-hour operation. In 2 days the samsung 500gb pro ssd showed complete data deletion (unallocated space). I thought it was random...some power outage. I put it back, transferred data and again in 3-4 days the same thing. Then I put another samsung evo...in 7 days everything was deleted again...unallocated space. Unfortunately, the case is unreliable. I have had the disks for 1-2 years and they were excellent. I took them out due to an upgrade, got bigger ones and I thought I would have a case to use them as external drives on a server. In the end, it's a bad case. I lost my data 3 times. Also, a full check of the disks (surface test) was flawless.
I do not recommend it. I have ordered a different brand

Έβαλα μεσα εναν samsung 870 που αντικατεστησα στο pc μου και ενω ειναι λειτουργικος με αρχεια μεσα τα windows δεν τον εβλεπαν και μπηκα μεσα απο το disk mamagement και μου ζηταει να τον κανω initialize για να τον δουν τα windows... το εκανε και σε κανεναν αλλον αυτο??? φανταζομαι προχωρώντας σε initialize θα τον δει μεν αλλα θα διαγράψει τα παντα δε....

πήγαινε μέσω disk management αλλά αντί για επαναφορα δώσε του ένα αρχικό γράμμα που δεν έχεις χρησιμοποιήσει. συνήθως αυτό χρειάζεται κάθε δίσκος πριν μπει σε νέο pc σε περίπτωση που είναι αναγνώσιμος
